Electrosmog, electrostress and sleep disorders

Electric fields and sleep disorders

We are using electricity and wireless technologies as never before, we are seeing in our civilization an apparent unstoppable wave of desire for the use of these electronic technologies. Our exposure to electricity has increased by a phenomenal amount in the last 20 years.
Every wireless and electronic device (including cable and wire, extension leads etc) in your home radiates millions of frequencies every second – this creates stress to the nervous system.
One third of our lives we spend sleeping. A night free of electrosmog allows our pineal gland to activate melatonin production, which is vital for a good night’s sleep and our general well being.
These days most people have a high rate of electrical stress constantly that creates unrest full sleep. A restful sleep is necessary for health and a strong immune system. During the same period of time that we have become disconnected from the earth, we have seen an increase in chronic health problems and sleep disorders that were rare or unheard of 60 to 75 years ago. Research has revealed that most of our modern diseases are linked with inflammation and free radical damage. Our company provides an immediate solution for shielding your bedroom environment.

Insomnia Information

The four types of Insomnia.

  1. Easy falling asleep, lots of problems to stay asleep an many time of awakening up.
  2. Waking up too early in the morning
  3. Often difficulty falling asleep
  4. The Sleep State Misperception

The cause of Insomnia

There are many things can cause insomnia. Insomnia is not a disorder it is a complaint. The goal is to find the underlying problem causing the complaint. Almost any sleep disorder can present themselves as insomnia including circadian disorders, sleep apnea, restless legs, the list goes on and on. So ruling out a sleep disorder can be important. Medications, herbs and caffeine can cause insomnia for sure. Most medications will report the possible side effect of insomnia and sleepiness. The same medication can cause both since we all react to medications differently. Life events can cause insomnia but it is usually temporary. Anxiety about falling asleep can also be responsible, however, if the anxiety is due to a long history of insomnia, the anxiety is probably not the problem and you need to find out what is the underlying cause. Once sleep is restored to normal the anxiety will usually go away. Physical problems such as pain can be the underlying cause. There is also the possibility of mental problems, and a good sleep doctor that works with insomnia can rule this in or out sometimes without an all night sleep study. This problem can be treated using many different techniques. Recent studies shows that also electric fields play a part in sleeping problems.

Three basic types of Insomnia

Transient insomnia - lasting for a few nights
Short-term insomnia – resulting in two- four weeks of poor sleep
Chronic insomnia - poor sleep that happens most nights and last a month or longer
Short term insomnia occurs with people who are temporarily experiencing one or more of the following:

• stress
• environmental noise
• extreme temperatures change in the surrounding environment
• sleep/wake schedule problems such as those due to jet lag
• medication side effects

Chronic insomnia is more complex and often results from a combination of factors, including underlying physical or mental disorders. One of the most common causes of chronic insomnia is depression. Other underlying causes include arthritis, kidney disease, heart failure, asthma, sleep apnea, restless legs syndrome, Parkinson's disease, and hyperthyroidism. However, chronic insomnia may also be due to behavioral factors, including the misuse of caffeine, alcohol, or other substances; disrupted sleep/wake cycles as may occur with shift work or other nighttime activity schedules; and chronic stress.

In addition, the following behaviors have been shown to perpetuate insomnia in some people:
• poor sleep hygiene in general
• expecting to have difficulty sleeping and worrying about it
• ingesting excessive amounts of caffeine
• drinking alcohol before bedtime
• smoking cigarettes before bedtime
• excessive napping in the afternoon or evening
• irregular or continually disrupted sleep/wake schedule
The Daytime symptoms often are:
• Impaired and faling memorie
• Irritability and uickly irriteded
• Sleepiness and being very tired
• Anxiety
• Bad concentration

How much sleep you need?

You should have enough sleep to be able to feel alert during the whole day. Mostly six and a half to nine hours for a good night sleep.

Electro sensetive people

Electrical Oversensitivity or Electro- (Electrical) Hypersensitivity is a fairly new phenomenon, the first cases and discussions came to public knowledge in the early seventies but their is still not very much known about them. It is not 'just in your head. This is the conclusion made by British government who acknowledged that electro sensitivity is a heightened reaction to electrical fields. It is a physical, rather than a psychological, ailment. Electrical HyperSensitivity is a name for those who are severely affected.
The first signs of electrical hypersensitivity are often experienced as a minor irritation when working with VDTs (Computer monitors, surveillance monitors, common TV - Television sets). A frequent symptom is that of warmth or a burning sensation in the face, not unlike a strong sunburn. Some people develop a reddish skin blemish or rash at the same time. These can also be accompanied by a tingling sensations in the skin, both facially and/or over other parts of the body. In addition eye problems can occur. You might get the feeling that the mucus membranes have dried. Most of the symptoms people get from being exposed to electricity disappear when they are not exposed.
These initial symptoms must be regarded as a serious first warnings! Things you could do if you have the feeling that your are electro sensitive are : switch of the electric power when not in use, cut down time on electric macenery, but a Eco dect telefoonn. shield yourself from magnetic fields. before the VDT, move the VDT far away from the user, buy a new low emission, grounded, monitor with a Cu-net embedded into the front glass (shielding glass) and shield yourself during the night.
Signs of electro sensetive people.
Every individual has a unique symptoms and a common mechanism for the cause of the disease has not yet been established. These are most sings for electro sensitive people.

• Interrupted sleep
• An unnatural warmth or burning sensation in the face.
• Feeling tired upon waking
• Light sleeping
• Headache and nausea.
• A tingling, stinging or pricking sensation in the face or other areas of the body.
• Problems with concentration, dizziness and loss of memory.
• Dryness of the upper respiratory tract or eye irritation.
• Swollen mucus membranes swelling of nose, pain in the throat, ear and sinuses.
• Feeling of impending influenza that never quite breaks out.
• Teeth and jaw pains.
• Insomnia
• Bags under the eyes
• Frequent urination at night
• Interrupted sleep
• Increased heartbeat at night and Cardiac palpitations.
• Chronic fatigue
• Ache in muscles and joints.
• ADD, or hyperactivity
• Stiffness and pain, mornings and nights
(back pain, headache, stiff muscles, rheumatism, and chronic inflammation)

For some people the problem becomes gradually worse and the symptoms are their for longer periods. But it all depends on the individual .The differences between people are off course many, some have only a few symptoms others have many, some have very light symptoms, some may have heavy severe problems.

Shielding yourself against electric fields during sleep

Research has proven that there is direct evidence of reduction in melatonin when sleeping near electric fields . When electric fields cannot penetrate the body you will produce enough of the hormone Melatonin. If you sleep in a electric smog free area the electricity will discharges the build-up of bio-electrical stress; it helps to neutralize the free radicals in your body; it supports the synchronization of biological rhythms, and gives a person a good healthy sleep. It has shown that it is possible to clearly reduce levels of electro fields by taking simple measures. Take away your alarm clock, bed lights and see if you have wires under your bed. If so, take them away. Eliminate electro smog stress in the bedroom with the E-Cover. With virtually every part of your body will be protected from electric fields. Sleeping in the woods or just outdoor is the best sleep. It is a natural sleep. Can it be that it is because of electric fields that so many experience sleeping problems these days? It could very well be that because during the same period of time that we increased our electrical use we have seen an increase in chronic health problems and sleep disorders . It is Important to know that you should never ground the body directly to a grounding system. Grounding the body directly to the grounding system will the create opposite. This way the electric fields will flow through the body instead of shielding the body!
